Introducing the Annabel Fit System
For many women, shopping for clothing has become far more complicated than it should be.
We have all experienced it. Walking into a store and trying on a garment in our usual size, only to discover it is too small. Then finding ourselves in a completely different size in another brand. Sometimes even within the same brand.
The reality is that women's sizing has become inconsistent, confusing and often frustrating. A size 12 in one label may fit like a size 16 in another. A size that fitted perfectly a year ago may no longer fit in a different style. The numbers themselves have become increasingly disconnected from the actual fit of the garment.
Yet despite this inconsistency, many women continue to blame themselves when something doesn't fit.
I believe it is time to change that conversation.
The problem is not that women come in different shapes, sizes and proportions. In fact, that diversity is something to be celebrated. The problem is that the traditional sizing system has struggled to keep pace with the reality of modern women's bodies.
That belief is what led me to create the Annabel Fit System™.
A New Sizing System
The Annabel Fit System™ has been designed to shift the focus away from arbitrary size labels and back to what truly matters: finding clothing that fits well and feels good to wear.
Rather than relying solely on traditional sizing, the system encourages women to understand their own measurements and use that information to make more confident purchasing decisions.
After all, no two women are exactly the same.
We have different heights, different proportions, different lifestyles and different preferences for how we like our clothing to fit. A sizing system should acknowledge those differences rather than attempt to squeeze every woman into a standardised number.
My goal is not to eliminate sizing entirely. Rather, it is to provide women with better information so they can make choices that work for their own unique bodies.
Why Measurments Matter
One of the biggest frustrations when shopping online is uncertainty.
Will it fit?
Should I size up?
Should I size down?
How much room is there through the bust or hips?
Many brands provide only a generic size guide, leaving customers to guess how a garment will actually fit.
At Annabel, I want to take a different approach.
Every garment in the collection will include detailed flat measurements for every size, including bust, waist, hip and garment length measurements. This gives women practical information that can be compared directly with their own measurements and with garments they already own and love.
The intention is simple: remove the guesswork and create a more transparent shopping experience.
Discovering Your Personal Fit Code
At the heart of the Annabel Fit System is the idea of a personal Fit Code.
Once you know your own bust, waist and hip measurements, you have a set of numbers that are uniquely yours. Unlike traditional size labels, those measurements remain consistent regardless of how different brands choose to size their garments.
Your Fit Code becomes a practical tool that helps you understand what works for your body and allows you to navigate clothing choices with greater confidence.
It is not about achieving a particular number. It is about understanding your proportions and using that knowledge to make informed decisions.
Knowledge creates confidence.
Beyond Sizing
While the Annabel Fit System™ begins with measurements, it is ultimately about something much bigger.
It is about moving away from the idea that a clothing size says anything meaningful about a woman's worth.
It is about reducing the frustration that so many women experience when shopping.
It is about creating greater transparency within fashion.
Most importantly, it is about helping women feel more confident and comfortable in their own skin.
Because bodies are not the problem.
The system is.
And if we can create a system that is clearer, kinder and more practical, perhaps we can make getting dressed feel a little easier too.
